Heute startete also meine TukTuk Tour. Ich war so gespannt und das erste Zusammentreffen mit Toni - unserem Guide, Graham - einer der Geschäftsinhaber und Debs - meine Mit-Teilnehmerin war so stimmig, dass ich bereits ab der ersten Minute wusste... das wird eine tolle Zeit!
Wir fuhren zu unserem ersten Hotel und trafen unsere beiden neuen Freunde. Nine und Liz! Nach einer kurzen Stärkung in einem idyllischen Restaurant in der Nähe ging es los. Nach ein paar Instruktionen durften wir selber mit unseren Freunden losfahren. Natürlich gab es eine Fahrprüfung!! Ok nichts offizielles, aber dennoch ein Test, ob wir unsere TukTuk im Griff haben.
Wir bekamen beide die Erlaubnis loszudüsen und das erste Ziel war ein Wald-Tempel. Hier erfuhren wir, dass es zwei unterschiedliche Mönche gibt. Die einen, die sich entscheiden Mönch zu sein um zu meditieren, um minimalistisch zu leben und um das Nirvana zu erlangen. Alle Mönche sind es freiwillig und können jederzeit selber entscheiden, kein Mönch mehr zu sein. Gewisse Mönche in der Stadt sind es, um studieren zu können oder weil sie sonst in Armut leben müssten. Viele Thailänder sind einmal in ihrem Leben Mönch. So war es auch King NINE, welcher hier im Land sehr geschätzt wird, weil er Thailand in vielen Bereichen weiter gebracht hat. So hat er zum Beispiel den Urvölker in den Bergen eine Alternative Landwirtschaftsnutzung gezeigt. So dass kein Opium mehr angebaut wurde. Heute sind es oft Erdbeeren und Kaffee! Übrigens wurde TukTuk NINE wegen ihm so benannt.
Im Wald Tempel erhielten wir eine Segnung durch einen Mönch. Dieser Mönch ist ein freiwilliger Mönch und hat schon mehrere Wochen und Monate nonstop Meditation hinter sich. Er hatte eine beeindruckende Aura. Nach der Segnung haben wir uns eine lange Zeit unterhalten und als es zu regnen begann, wurde uns ein Kaffee von den Mönchen angeboten. Das hat Toni unser Guide noch nie erlebt. So philosophierten wir weiter und als der Regen nachliess fuhren wir weiter.
Auf dem Rückweg zum Hotel besuchten wir noch einen Dorf Tempel.
Bereits dieser Tag war gefüllt mich Eindrücken! Ich fühlte mich zur genau richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort!
So today started my TukTuk tour. I was so excited and the first meeting with Toni - our guide, Graham - one of the business owners and Debs - my co-participant was so coherent that I already knew from the first minute ... this gonna be a great time!
We drove to our first hotel and met our two new friends. Nine and Liz! After a short refreshment in an idyllic restaurant nearby, we started. After a few instructions we were allowed to drive off with our friends. Of course there was a driving test !! Okay, nothing official, but still a test if we have our TukTuk under control.
We both got permission to go on and the first destination was a forest temple. Here we learned that there are two different monks. The one who chooses to be a monk to meditate, to live minimalist and to get nirvana. All monks are voluntary and can always decide themselves not to be a monk anymore. Some of the monks in the city are Monks to study or because otherwise they had to live poverty. Many Thais are monks once in their lives. So it was also King NINE, which is highly appreciated here in the country because he has helped to develop Thailand in many topics. For example, he has shown the indigenous peoples of the mountains an alternative agricultural use. So no more opium was grown. Today it is often strawberries and coffee! By the way… TukTuk NINE is called after him!
In the forest temple we received a blessing from a monk. This monk is a volunteer monk and has been through non-stop meditation for several weeks and months. He had an impressive aura. After the blessing, we talked for a long time and when it started to rain, we were offered a coffee by the monks. Toni has never experienced our guide. So we philosophized further and as the rain subsided, we drove on. On the way back to the hotel we visited a village temple.
Already that day was filled me in impressions! I felt at the right place at the right time!
