Benigo hiess "meine" Stadt für die ersten Tage in Australien. Nebst den tollen Ausflügen in die Grampians und zum Healsville Sanctuary erkundete ich teils alleine und teils in Gesellschaft Bendigo und Umgebung.
An einem der Tag führte uns unser Ausflug nach Echuca. Jan und Hannah wussten genau was mir gefällt und hielten an Wandmalereien in Rochester.
Im süsse Echuca angekommen, betrachteten wir das Museumsstädtchen. Ebenfalls eine Fahrt auf dem Murray river ist hier sehr zu empfehlen. Als eher speziell empfand ich jedoch den "Flip Flop Baum".
Der Abschluss des heutigen Tages war ein kleines Highlight... wir warteten gespannt auf die Rückkehr von Ollie. Er hatte einen Tag lange Schule und wurde mit dem Schulbus nach Hause gefahren. Hannah nahm ihn in Empfang und bekam von den Lehrerinnen einen Rapport, wie Ollis Tag war und was er alles gelernt hat... wenn ihr die Fotos genau betrachtet, sehr ihr, warum es ein kleines Highlight war.... eines noch bemerkt... man hat den Schulbus von weitem kommen hören:-)
An einem anderen Tag entdeckte ich Bendigos Zentrum zu Fuss und mit dem antike Touristen Tram. Dieses Führte mich zu einer Tram-station und fuhr einmal quer durch die Stadt.
Auch in dieser Umgebung hat es viele Vögel und andere Tiere... einige davon in Jan's Garten.
Ein weiteres Erlebnis dieser ersten Zeit mit allen Tilburns war Jans Geburtstag. Danke, dass ich den miterleben und mitfeiern durfte. Ich bin glücklich, dass ich hier Zeit mit dieser wundervollen Familie verbringen durfte und freue mich, sie nach meiner Zeit in Adelaide alle nochmals zu sehen!
Benigo was called "my" city for the first days in Australia. In addition to the great trips to the Grampians and the Healsville Sanctuary I explored Bendigo and the wurrounding area sometimes alone and partly in the company.
On one of the days our excursion took us to Echuca. Jan and Hannah knew exactly what I liked and showed me a wall painting in Rochester.
Arrived in the sweet Echuca, we looked at the museum town. Alsoa ride on the Murray river is highly recommended here. However, I found the "flip-flop tree" rather special.
The end of today was a highlight ... we waited eagerly for the return of Ollie. He had a day-long school and was driven home by school bus. Hannah received it and got a report from the teachers on how Olli's day was and what he had learned.... if you look closely at the photos, you know why it was a little highlight .... one more thing ... you could hear the school bus coming from afar :-)
On another day I discovered the Bendigos center on foot and with the antique tourist tram. This took me to a tram stop and drove across town.
Also in this area there are many birds and other animals ... some of them in Jan's garden.
Another experience of this first time with all Tilburns was Jan's birthday. Thank you, that I was allowed to witness and celebrate. I am happy to spend this wonderful time with this wonderful family and look forward to seeing you after my time in Adelaide!
