24. Mai bis zum 27. Mai
Iceland empfängt uns regnerisch und so windig, dass uns von der Autovermietung verboten wird, das Dachzelt aufzustellen und wir werden gewarnt... ja genau... das Auto könne kippen, wenn wir bei zu starkem Wind zu schnell fahren. Also fahren wir im Schnecken-Tempo los und erreichen schlussendlich die Stadt.
Das Parken wird etwas zum Abenteuer, da ich die Höhe des Autos nicht so ganz abschätzen konnte...
Wir checken im Loft-Hotel ein. Da war ich vor 11 Jahren schon mal. Es ist nicht mehr ganz so gepflegt wie damals, hat aber eine tolle Lage.
Von mitten in der Stadt können wir nun sternförmig alles erkunden.
Bunte Häuser, farbige Strassen, Wandzeichnungen, viel Kunst und Musik erwartet uns.
Reykjavik ist eine lebendige Stadt die alle Arten von Menschen aufnimmt und akzeptiert. So toll.
Wir fühlen uns sicher und geniessen das gemütliche Ankommen in Iceland.
Iceland welcomes us rainy and so windy that the car rental company forbids us to put up the roof tent and we are warned... Yes, exactly... the car could tip over if we drive too fast in strong winds. So we set off at a snail's pace and finally reach the town.
We check into the Loft Hotel. I stayed there 11 years ago. It's not quite as well-kept as it was back then, but it's in a great location.
From the middle of the city, we can now explore everything in a star shape.
Colorful houses, colorful streets, murals, lots of art and music await us.
Reykjavik is a lively city that welcomes and accepts all kinds of people. So great.
We feel safe and enjoy the cozy arrival in Iceland.
